Do you enjoy the outdoors, walking and the company of others? L Leisure are looking for friendly and encouraging volunteers to help with our Buggy Walks.
What are the benefits?
- free accredited walk leader training
- opportunity to meet new people
- pathway into employment
- gain new skills
- rewarding pastime
What is expected from you?
Assist with the delivery of our Buggy Walk, by helping to lead the walk of participants around the route. Routes will change weekly but they will all take place from the same start point at Attenborough Nature Reserve.
Your role will be to ensure that the parents are supported throughout the walk. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sociable and sensitive to the needs and concerns of new parents.
Each walk will take roughly 45 minutes to an hour. We would just ask that you are available shortly before 10am until the end of the walk.
L Leisure are very flexible so you are not expected to be there every week, we appreciate you may have other commitments. But, without the help from volunteers, we are unable to offer out such successful programmes to the community. You are important!
You do not need to have any qualifications or experience. If you have any concerns or would like any training, L Leisure are open to see what opportunities we can offer you to enable you to be a more confident volunteer.
When?
Every Monday (excluding bank holidays) at 10am.
We would ask you to arrive at the picnic benches by the main entrance to the centre.
Where?
Barton Lane,
Attenborough,
Nottingham,
NG9 6DY.
*You must be 16 years or older to take up this volunteering role.*
