Following the success of Buggy Walks over the summer months, we are excited to announce that we are extending the monthly get together over autumn and winter. The walks, which are ideal for new parents with their little ones, will continue at Attenborough Nature Reserve on the 2nd Monday of the month all year round.
Walk organiser, Becci Carter, said “ We’re delighted at how popular these walks have been, and we’re so pleased to be able to continue them all year round. We’re excited to wrap up warm and head outside, whatever the weather.”
Buggy Walks are the perfect opportunity for new parents to meet other people with children of a similar age. The kids are nice and safe in their pushchair, leaving mum or dad to be able to have a conversation with another adult whilst also getting some gentle exercise in the fresh air. The perfect way to start the week.
Meet us at the picnic benches outside the visitor centre at 10:30am on the following dates:
- 10th October 2022
- 14th November
- 12th December
- 9th January 2023
- 13th February 2023
- 13th March 2023
The walks will follow the paths around the nature reserve, but please be aware that some areas may get muddy in wet weather, so wear appropriate footwear. Each walk will last around 45 mins to one hour, and there will be a chance to grab a coffee in the café afterwards, if you want to. The walks are completely free to attend, but parking charges do apply.
