Playdays
A free* children’s outdoor event, with lots of activities for children up to 12 to take part in. Come and join in the fun; making arts and crafts and taking part in games. There will also be inflatables, rides and KMX karting for the older kids to take part in. And the younger ones will be amazed by the giant bubbles and circus skills.

Mini Reel
Spend this summer outdoors watching some fantastic children’s film with Mini Reel Outdoor Cinema for just £1 a ticket. With a wide selection of kid’s films to enjoy you will be spoilt for choice! Incredibles 2, Moana, Mary Poppins Returns, the list goes on… Take a look online and book your favourite film today.

Beeston on Sands
Grab your buckets and spades and head over to Beeston’s Old Bus Station for free!* Spend the day building sand castles, playing games and relaxing in the sunshine. In addition to the sand castle making, the children can enjoy games and rides on the few activities at the from bungee jumps to rides. Food and drinks will be available in the beach huts.

Timewarp 1940s
Be transported back to the 1940s this summer, explore the variety of stalls and community groups that all have a passion for the forties era. Swing along to the live music on the band stand and meet some amazing 1940s re-enactors.
Saturday 10th August, 12pm-6pm Dovecote Lane Recreation Ground, Beeston, NG9 1HU .
£5 entry and kids go free!

Summer Storytelling
Book onto a pirate adventure at the D.H.Lawrence Birthplace Museum this August. Spend an hour with a spectacular story teller for a treasure filled story of pirates and their voyage. Afterwards, you can make yourself your own pirate hat and be on a scavenger hut for treasure. you can also, bring along a picnic and spend some time in the museum garden for lunch.
Each Saturday in August at 10:30am at the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum, 8a Victoria Street, Eastwood, NG16 3AW.
